WASP offers a service from the initial design concept to fully manufactured Silicon Rubber Keypads.

There are numerous design options that can be used with each feature and WASP would recommend you send you requirements to enable us to help with your design and production requirements. Below are some of the options available.

FRONT PANEL SEALING

WASP can design your keypad to achieve a full environmental sealing with sealing webs around the rubber keypad tightening to effect the seal.

ILLUMINATION

Back light in low and high level light situation can be archived using plastic light guide with LED’s or bulbs. Individual button illumination can be design using single led’s or bulbs.

TACTILE FEEL

The switch function can use metal dome to give a very effective tactile feel even through gloved hands.

MOUNTING

Rear or front mounting are available.

CONFIGURATION

Custom designed button shapes and sizes can be customised to your requirements.

ACTUATOR

Actuation of the switches can be through specially designed light guide actuators or directly from the silicon rubber onto domes or using graphite pills depending on the requirements.

BEZEL

Front panel bezels can be constructed from metal or moulded in plastic.

LEGENDS

Custom graphics are surface printed in whatever colours required.
