WASP membrane Range
Designed and manufactured in the UK, WASP membrane switch panels are available in a variety of different styles and types using a variety of of combinations using standard techniques to fulfil almost every need. Even if you don't see what you need here on these pages, call us to discuss even the most complex requirements.

NON TACTILEA flat switch with printed overlay usually with flexible tail with or without a connector fitted.
TACTILEA polyester layer or metal domes inserted beneath the surface are used to give a positive feel and response to each switch.
TACTILE PLATFORM EMBOSSEDThe top layer is embossed to provide a raised platform over each switch area.
RFI SCREENINGThis can be achieved using various techniques including screen-printed silver, mesh or ITO coated polyesters.
WINDOWSThese are supplied as required - very often cost savings can be achieved with clever circuit design and using the material discarded in the window area.
PCB BACKED MEMBRANESAdded components can be placed on the board used for the switching circuit and saves cost by reducing existing PCB's or the metal front panel. These can be supplied with mounting studs, cut-outs and holes position as required.
CONNECTORSFlexible membranes are available with or without a 0.1" pitch female connector fitted to a flexible tail. On rigid PCB backed panels, a connector with a choice of pins can be fitted.
INTERCHANGEABLE LEGENDSWhere the end user wishes to change legends WASP can make a preprinted polyester sheet for insertion between the front panel and the circuit to effect custom changes without having to replace the entire panel.
ILLUMINATIONGeneral overall illumination can be achieved with an EL panel or light guides using LED's or lamps. For individual single point lighting LED's or lamps can be used.
SURFACE TEXTURESVarious surface finishes are available including UL coating, matt or textured to your requirements.
BACK PLATESWASP can offer metal back plates shaped, cut and drilled to specification.
RIM EMBOSSINGThis gives a raised edge around each switch.
SECRET 'TIL LITThis type of design gives the effect of no buttons or illumination until required.
